Costume, Props and Locaions: Initial Ideas

Costume

I have put together some ideas we have came up with for our artist to be wearing. As she is from the indie pop genre we have decided that she shuld be waering qwerky outfits that stand out. These outfits should be colourful but also must be very fiminin as from our research, many artists from the pop genre use their sexulaity. We also think the artist should have some sort of symbol that represents her plitical side. The necklace in the images above is what we are looking for so that it can be part of her iconography. The necklace is a symbol for peace and our artist is portraying her idea of peace through her political music videos.

Props

Due to our music video having a political twist to it, we decided that we should use newspapers in our music video to show news on Brexit and how it can effect the freedom of movement throughout Europe. This is also why we are going to use passports as a prop to express freedom of movement. As the song we are using is called BURN, we are going to use props that represent this such as a fire/bonfire and bright lights so that the visuals match the lyrics.

Locations

We want to use many different locations to make the music video interesting and  appealing. The use of London is because we wanted to film in the city the govern our laws and where politicians make decisions (House of Commons). This connects with our music video having a political meaning behind it.
